Rise Up is designed to equip young people with the skills, knowledge and confidence they need to make positive change happen in their communities. We’re interested in helping individuals who are passionate about Human Rights issues; anything from housing rights, to refugee rights, to LGBTI rights and many many more.
Our aim is to empower and educate young people to become effective campaigners on the issues that matter most to them. So that together, we can Rise Up.
We will be looking for 16-24 year olds to take part and are encouraging applications from marginalised groups, without existing access to resources, funding or training. Starting September 2019, it will consist of four weekends over the course of a year at our London headquarters (expenses will be covered).
The applications are now open, it is a short application which can be completed via video or writing and we welcome applications in pairs! We hope that this will help applicants feel supported at point of application, and try to ensure as few barriers to entry as possible.
With this in mind, we are heavily relying on people and organisations to actively encourage young people they know to apply. It would be fantastic to reach as far and wide as we can!
Please share this within your networks and beyond, and do get in touch should you need any further information.
