The course provides participants with a framework to explore the opportunities and challenges of establishing peer mentoring and staff champions for care experienced people in prison.
This unique course supports people in prison, staff and management, to explore in a safe environment the issues to be considered when introducing a peer mentoring and staff champion scheme. |
This training contains the voice of lived experience and enables the participants to comfortably share their insights to create a firm foundation for project implementation.

Course Objectives
Duration
2 x 4 hour days
Delivery of 4 face to face workshops which include one workshop exclusively for people in prison and one for staff, coupled with two joint workshops bringing both groups together.
- People in custody identified as potential peer guides
- Staff identified as potential staff champions for care experienced people
- Leaders tasked with implementing the schemes
